I believe it is due to be published in Aug 15, but have not kept closely in touch.
I regularly use this meter inside CUs.
Din Rail Mounting kWh meter
It is a bit small to read easily, but good if you want to use up only one way in the CU.
I do not know those formulae, but I have done plenty of maths and spreadsheet work. To pick up some of your points:
- In principle it does not matter whether your angles are in radians or in degrees, the formulae will still work if coded correctly as the angles are inputs not outputs.
-...
if you have the wifi manual you will see there are extra buttons inside the inverter, but they only are needed when the wps does not work. It is dangerous to go inside the inverter if you are not familiar with the required safety precautions.
Jan, ok, I understand, you have the solar edge wifi module added inside the inverter so you need no extra box. Do you have the installation manual for the wifi module? It has a trouble shooting section.
The solar edge inverter just has a wired ethernet output I believe. So you must have another box (with the wps button on) that does the wireless connection between the inverter location and your sky router. It sounds like either:
- that box is forgetting its connection with the router (both...
Just been to look that up for my education.
What a useful little table.
I found a pdf of the BS is actually sitting on the internet at the top of a google search if your morals will allow you to download a copyright document. Alternatively Eurocode 5 as Worcester says.
Did first GSE last week. Not a particularly smooth installation because it is a new build small retirement house and we are trying to put as much pv on as possible which puts it tight against velux flashings. Sequencing roofing work, pv work, velux work was tricky. We also made it harder than...
The inverter is displaying the actual voltage measured at the inverter, which will be the total voltage generated by the panels less that lost in the dc cabling by virtue of the current flowing.
If no current was flowing then it would be Voc. If max power current was flowing then it will be a...
Following some links I see I looked at the draft cop discussion last year, but had thought no more of it since. Earthing and bonding are never black and white and by protecting against one failure mechanism you can easily introduce vulnerability to another.
I suspect Gavin is right and that...
Gavin,
Can you direct me to the IET decision you are referring to. I might have missed it. I did not realise there was any particular conflict at the moment.
On second thoughts do you mean the new IET cop? Is it going to say 'earth everything' without a regulation to back it up?
You have...
I am about to do my first GSE system on a new build. I had the same issues with the 'training'. One Frenchman with good English who was a salesman who could not answer technical questions and another Frenchman who did know his stuff but needed a translator to be sure he was being accurate.
I...
I have a couple of domestic clients with 3-phase PV and they could usefully use something like an Immersun to power a single phase load, but by monitoring import/export on all 3 phases, not just the one. The reason is that meters net the power consumption across the phases. Does anything exist...
