Excellent condition, I can honestly say this has drilled less than 100 holes (as I own a protool cordless angle drill which gets used more)
Comes in original box with handles etc.
If I gave this drill a wipe over I could sell as new it is in great condition. If you have any questions or...
Hi to all the smarter sparks on here,
Can any one answer this question.
If a contactor has a 110v ac coil fitted, will it operate when supplied from a 110v cte transformer giving 55v to each side of A1 & A2.
I have a feeling it wont so any info would be gratefully recieved.

here in where I work, the most common 1-phase power comes in 220V, so therefore I bet most of the 1-phase circuit protection devices sold here are for 220V. Very few of them indicates specifically that they can operate in 220V or 110V system, while the others don't say anything at all.

Hi,
I need to test and certify an existing 110 volt distribution board. however, I am having trouble completing the standard BS7671 schedule of test results.
Firstly
What is the tripping time? 5 seconds ( TABLE 41.6 Refers) or 0.3 Seconds or 0.8 seconds ( TABLE41.1 refers)
The distribution...
I am wanting to run a usa knife sharpener 110volts AC in an Australian car. Is there a problem using an inverter 12v DC to 240 vAC and then a transformer from 240 to 110 AC? I am advised the sharpener needs a min of 120W and the inverter I have supplies 200W
Got a call on thursday asking if I could call around, light in one of the bedrooms not working. No prob's I thought, probibly something simple, wire come loose etc.
Got there and found nothing between L-N and 110v between L-E. The light is not at the end of the radial (has a loop in and out)...

Could anyone please advise on a IR (250V) reading of 0.02MΩ on the permanent live of an emergency lighting circuit to earth ONLY. Lamps have being removed, but ballasts and batteries are still in circuit? The breaker is mechanically sound and stays on with this apparent dead short to earth...
Hello everyone,
Let me preface by admitting that I'm not a professional electrician. My apologies if I'm intruding, but I didn't know where else to go to answer this question. That being said, I'm curious to know if it's possible to modify/convert an appliance that was before only 110v/60Hz to...
I purchased some glass lighted shelves in Italy and need to install them in my home in Canada. The fixture inside is 220-240V 50Hz with a 21W fluorescent tube. Can I connect them to my 110V 60Hz? I plugged one in and it seems to work. I also purchased a 110V 60Hz fixture here in Canada but it...
The job was to install
1. a 400v tpn 8 way db (construction site enviroment)
2. feeding a TX
3. which in turn feeds a 110 v lighting circuit that is not on a plug into the front of the TX, but instead hard wired into a double pole outgoing MCB of the same TX so as to avoid unwanted...
Hi all,
I recently purchased a Chef's Choice Cone Maker 838, which is a fairly basic waffle iron. The problem is, that as it is a product from the USA its operating voltage is 120V at 60Hz and 1050 Watt (these are probably the max values). Would there be any way of converting this to the UK...
Every 110v lead i have tested including new ones have failed the earth bond test.

another silly question, i am thinking to buy a SDS drill for thick wall, but my cordless drill is not hard enough and the battery goes flat very quickly, but i found every SDS drill has 110v and 230v two options, why not everyone buys 230v so dont need to buy the transformer?
sorry you might...

Had a quick scout round just now on the net and can't seem to find them! does it just take a normal 5ft tube? or do I need to get a special 110v...
