It appears that a more modern CU has been installed within the last 5 years and their is a 6mm T&E coming out the back which I have traced to be running into the loft - and the house...
I'm looking at doing a CU change. Current main earthing and bonding conductors are both 6mm. Tails are 16mm on a 60/80 amp fuse (TNCS). ZE = 0.1 , 230v, single cable not bunched.
Looking at the regs (543.1.1) and applying the adiabatic equation (543.1.3), 6mm seems ok for main earthing...

Hi All,
I am making a annex in a old workshop about 35 metres away from the main fuse board.
It will have a water heater for a shower and sink and then just a few sockets for a kettle etc.
Would a 6mm cable be sufficient and what size shower rating would I need?
Thanks for any advice.
