    the periodic report reports cables clipped direct in zone 1 illegal. cables supply a water heater and a wall heater. thanks in advance. the cables run lower than the 2.5 meters allowed in zone one

    Wiring Lighting Circuit

    Hi there, was in the wholesalers today and got chatting to the staff and was told that apparently the NICEIC want you to send the feeds to the switches, neutrals together etc, oppose to three bar wiring (loop in) Anyone else heard this,?

    Are non switched sockets allowed under BS7671 or are they a code 4?

    I have come across some non switched sockets and believe they will need to be changed or is it a code 4? Domestic property. I am going to look through the book tomorrow, just one of those things bugging me. Going to have to move the shower isolator too, pull cord is just on the edge of zone...

    Only me again... Is this allowed, not my normal way but not much room for maneuver on this one (ideally would have on 2 individual isolators) Have oven rated at 2.8kW, integrated microwave sat right on top rated at 3.4kW... Can these both go on one 45a DP switch? Will be supplied via 32a mcb...

    Electrician not allowed to pat test.

    As a favour to my local village school i have been doing the pat testing. The council phoned the head and said she needs to do a risk assessment for the frequency of testing fare enough. I said i would help her do this but the council have come back saying that i cant and i cant do the testing...
