    Just playing around with a starter kit and the panels have MC3 connectors I have a load of MC4 connectors and crimper. Is it OK to cut off the MC3 connectors on the panels and change to MC4? I know i can get convertors but thats more cost!

    MC4 Connectors & Crimpers

    Can you buy sunclix connectors on their own? I can only find them with the inverters and we've got an install with MC4 connectors tomorrow - we usually only need MC3 and use the crimpers for those - don't really want to pay £silly for MC4 crimpers that I'm not likely to use very often.

    Branch Connectors

    when using branch connectors in an array, for example 2 strings of 8 and the positives go to one branch and the negatives to the other one, there are only two cables going back to the inverter, does this mean that the same laws apply if branch connectors weren't used: amps double and volts dont?
