Hi all hope you can help came across a rewire were all the down lighters have been wired up with strip connectors is this acceptable under BS7671 and dose this comply as an enclosure reg 5265 good advise please
Some Wago connectors are rated at 24 amps and take cable up to 2.5mm. Would you use them on a ring main circuit?
My concern is that if one leg of the ring went open circuit, the wago would be then used on a radial circuit protected by a 32a mcb.

hi all just wanted to check something re wago connectors (lever type) i cant find anything in the regs that suggests that they cant be used inside a internal conduit box or suitable enclosure for connecting single core cables to flex for outside light. the box will be accessable for inspection...
Surly this cant be right. under the sink where you connect the washing machine pipes to the hot and cold someone has fitted a socket box for the washing machine. its not even a waterproof unit, its a rented house and im a little bit concerned that if it leaks the misses might get a new hair do.
Hi all:17:
Had a correspondence recently with Panasonic stated that if installers replaced original connectors MC3 with any other connectors (MC4 or MC4 compatible) Sanyo now Panasonic CANNOT make an exception and keep the guarantee coverage for the modules which have been modified or have not...
Guys DIY alert here.
So I about to install 3 sets (different circuits) of 3 downlights (9 lights in total) in my living room, the ceiling is down at the moment and I want to run in the wiring. I have already decided to use the click flow (ones with cable clamps) connectors to connect from...
Following on from this thread I've been leasing with Panasonic about the issue of whether or not cutting off the MC3 connectors and replacing with another suitable connector eg MC4 should violate the terms of the warranty.
Panasonic are sticking to the line that replacing the connector does...
Hi all,
I am a BIG fan of the Wago connectors, but am I required to enclose them in a box? They seem to me, to be very well insulated in themselves....
????
Neweys have been pushing these lately, Ideal's version of a wago. Has anyone bought/used them???
They are also stocking the 'screwits' which personally I would never use but it seems people are buying them.

Dear All,
This is my first post in the forums - so a little background first. I have basically no practical electrical experience but I have almost completed the 'Domestic Electrical Installers' course through OLCI (I have my Part P). I know a lot of you fully qualified guys don't like this...

Hi
I need to create a fused spur with the connection into the RFC cable under the floorboards i.e. not accessible. Going with the regs crimps can be used as they are MF but is it acceptable to have three cables in each crimp?
Thats my post cherry popped! Cheers for your help.

Hi, help please.
I'm moving an electrical socket, only a few inches, and want to use the existing box as a connector/junction.
Is there a specific connection product, on a blanking plate, or should I use block connectors?
Or should I buy a junction box, and plaster over. In which case what...
Never used or really seen these before, but today I remembered how much I hate chocolate block connectors.
Are they quicker/easier to use?
Do they need an enclosure to be put in?
