I think this has been talked about before, but will ask anyway.
I have be asked to remove the panels on a 4kw installation inverter SB4000TL -20
Ready for a new extension. The panels will have to repositioned east-west.
I believe the old SMA 4000TL-20 will be unsuitable and will need a 3000TL...
Changing a CCU and reconnecting existing wiring (twin and earth) = did a N - CPC IR test for earth leaks prior to dismantling the old (BS3036) unit for obvious new RCD trips; all ok.
However, on ring circuit the continuity end-to-end readings of the R1 and Rn are 0.3 ohms different; 0.41 on...
When installing non-maintained emergency lights where there is more than one 'local' lighting circuit e.g a three storey house is it best practice to have the Emergency Lights all on one lighting circuit and therefore testable with one key-switch or split between the lighting circuits with a key...

PV specific plug and socket connectors are commonly fitted to module cables by the manufacturer.
Such connectors provide a secure, durable and effective electrical contact. They also simplify and
increase the safety...

Hi all.
We're currently wiring a large domestic dwelling that has a 3 phase supply. We would like to balance phases as accurately as possible, but due to the lighting control system we have a situation where we have a 13A socket on one phase sited next to a 5A socket on another phase. These...
If a customer asks me to do a few jobs. E.g. Add some spots, add a socket and put a fan in a bathroom. As the only job notifiable to the labc would be the fan as its in a special location. Would you MW all jobs separately or all as one EIC and then let the building control deal with what's what?
Anyone else come across this before on a domestic property ?
Just working on some new builds.....
And on one of the properties as the ground floor is mostly open plan we've got to wire from the nearest smoke to a unit under the kitchen sink -----> if the alarm is then triggered it then...

Hi Guys,
