Disconnect appliances before RCD testing?
Hi everyone, I was with Chief Big Spark at work doing some periodic inspection and testing on units. smoke alarms vunerable to ir test?
hey all!! would a smoke alarm circuit be vunerable or give out false readings on the live insulation resistance test? or is it worth me just connecting the lives and testing to earth? well and the interconnecter. cheers all :)- claire_r

17th Edition - Max Disconnect Times
Done my 17th but slightly confused following a conversation since course. Guidance Notes 3 give you a combined table for 0.4 & 5 secs disconnect times, but regs still seperate the two. Heard recently that we only have to bother with the 0.4 disconnect time for all circuits. Any thoughts- martynp
