Hi. Has anyone tried the Atoko Fan Select (ATQ6-03)? Its supposed to be an extractor fan timer so you can get delayed start and run-on using a standard fan. They say you can also override the delay and run-on by switching the light - does that really work?
I have an old Baumatic oven that hyas been tripping out my new fuseboard . I removed my old element ..photographed the wire connections..or so I thought , only to find out that the only wire connection I can see is the earther ( yellow green) in the middle . the other wires are brown...
Hi my 4 inch centrifugal extractor fan in the loft has stopped working.
Looking at doing a like for like replacement, but am confused with existing wiring vs wiring on the new unit and where the current wires would fit into the new unit.
I've attached the current wiring set up for the broken...
My very well off customer wants the most quiet ceiling mounted extractor fan there is. They have stipulated that cost is not a barrier and they just want something quiet.
I have used one extremely quiet fan in the past, but it simply didn't do it's job, so that's pointless. This fan still needs...
Here is a picture of the ceiling box
In the kitchen we have recessed spotlights and there used to be a ceiling fan, and there is only 1 switch with a dimmer. We removed the fan and wanted to add a Bazz disk to sort of fit in with the spots. I opened it up, connected it in every possible...

Power to main fan oven power light stays on when switched off and element heats up to maximum although the switch works correctly and turns the fan on.
Hello,
DIY homeowner here in South Carolina. I have a question regarding wiring some lights and a fan.
I’m replacing an old ceiling fan. It has 14/3 running to the box. The old fan has 3 switches wired. One controlling the fan and two more controlling the lights on the fan.
I’d like to add...
Dear All,
The back story is too boring to tell !!! Could someone please tell me if this PCB in the photograph has an adjustable time function ?
It was sitting in its own white back box on the wall close to the fan and was wired to a set of bathroom lights - it was supposed to operate the...
Backstory:
Installing a new ceiling fan in a 45 y.o. house, rewiring to an existing switch. The leg was for a switched outlet, which was wired in a peculiar way - on a 14/2 copper, both leads are hot (no neutral). I haven’t opened the sheetrock at the baseboard to see where they wired the...
Hi, I need to replace an old extractor fan in a house I rent out. The bathroom has a lot of black mould on the ceiling and I'm wanting to prevent this from happening again. A fan with a humidistat that turns on when it gets too humid sounds like a good idea but is it as easy as just replacing...
I currently have 2 3-way switches controlling a light fixture in a room in my home. They are wired like the attached diagram. I recently purchased a ceiling fan for the room and I’m wondering if I’ll be able to use the required ceiling fan switch in place of one of the 3 way switches? Thanks!
Just had a call from an M&E client of mine and good mate asking to pick my brains.... large 3ph biomass boiler with (I assume variable speed) 1ph fans internally. Says he's got 230v L-N/E on the connecting plug but when the fan gets connected there's nothing on the internal fan connections...

I have just had a log cabin installed, it is being used as a gym.
I have installed an extractor fan to help with the flow of air. The extractor fan is located high up (see picture) and I am wondering where to position the vents to allow flow of air into the room (and then out through the...
Hi, I currently have a light that was wired as 3 way and am replacing it with a ceiling fan/light combo. What I want to do is wire the switches so they operate independently so light switch in one location and fan in the other. The power wire enters where the light switch would be going and...
I have just done my first workout in my new garden gym. I used my fan heater to get the temperature up to around 12°C which I find about right for a workout. However, the humidity was around 88% which is far too high. There was a lot of condensation on the windows.
My plan was to buy this Rhino...
Hello,
I had and electrian fit a bathroom xpelair lv100ts bathroom fan.
It works fine but the timer won't stay on after the light is switched off. We have the fan and a transformer box in the loft which has a dial on I don't have an isolated switch.
I suspect its something to do with the...
This Candy CCE16/2X kitchen extractor hood fan is not working, the lights are still working but the fan itself is not. I know there’s a fair bit of grease on there as you can see but will that be the cause & are there any other things I can check myself to find out why?
My Lasko electric heater stopped working and I thought it just played out so I replaced it with another heater that worked fine for a while, but when I went back to check it was also not working. A fan is on the same circuit and has been that way for years, the fan still works fine. Is this...
