Hi All,
Got a problem with a big job we've been doing. Firstly, I'm a spark and not a plumber, but the guy we are working for asked me to get a plumber to fit an immersion heater for hot water to wash his horses off.
So my mate who's a plumber installed a 205 litre indirect cylinder, with a...
Afternoon all, I've been looking at getting a solar immersion controller for my solar PV 3kWp array, and although the IMMERSUN and iBOOST look like the prime players, I'm keen to know whether any of you have had experience with the SOLIC unit? It appears to do the same job as the rest, looks...
Just discovered the old wiring for the immersion heater. We have very few sockets in old victorian house. The immersion heater wiring was left in a terminal block wrapped up in masking tape!
I changed the old wylex fuses on the CU to use MCB, thankfully I switched the 16A fuse off for the...

Hi there, newbie here so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong forum.
We've just moved in to a rental flat which is on an economy 10 meter. Off peak hours are 12-5am 1-4pm and 8-10pm. Obviously to avoid having to get up and switch the immersion off at 5 so I've got hot water for a bath in the...
Went to a callout today, every time the pump on a solid fuel system kicks in the dvd player turns off for a second then comes back on,the same applies when the pump turns off. The system was on a plug top plugged into the ring. I checked all connections and were fine. I then ran an extension...

Evening all,
Could anybody recommend a good timer control for use on an immersion heater please.

I have a job to do tomorrow where a unvented direct hot water cylinder was installed just over a year ago. Job came through as no hot water. Anyway I have been there and both immersions are scaled up and faulty so gonna replace them and fit a limescale inhibitor. At the moment its got both...
