Hi, new here. Not a qualified electrican. Not wanting to self-instal. Not clueless though.
I have searched on 'induction hobs' here, before posting.
Question: what induction hob(s) are there on the market that do NOT self-limit to well below their (typically 7-8kW) rated maximum power, when...
I’ve been looking for the right answer and just can’t seem to find it.
I had an induction hob installed by a certified electrician, and there are no apparent problems so far, however, it is installed on the CU, RCD and upstream with a RCCB with no MCB,
I’m just not 100% sure if it’s the safest...
Hello, two parts here....please forgive any incorrect terminology used!

We've recently brought a new build house and it's come with an AEG induction hob. We quickly realised there wasn't enough power to heat more than 2 pans at once. Rather pointless given its a 4 ring hob and slightly challenging cooking xmas dinner!
We've had Bellway out and they explained its a...
In Short: I need help designing a circuit between a receiving induction coil and a battery load.
Longer Explanation:
I am entering a science fair project this year which requires wireless charging of a drone. So far, a have a transmitting coil that takes 12V at 2 amperes and the receiver coil...
hello, we have recently brought a new build house and we want to upgrade our gas hob for an induction hob, we have already brought the hob which requires 32AMP and is 7.4KW power
our house layout makes it a little tricky and expensive to rewire a new circuit through (which we should have...

I have been told by a local spark that one can not run an induction hob on a 4mm T+E.
From my understanding, most induction hobs are 7-8kW and "require" 6-10mm T+E but our housebuilder only put 4mm because they are cheap.
Or maybe I am cheap for not coughing up £500 for a £150 induction hob...
Hi,
I'm replacing an old electric oven with an induction hob. There's an existing cooker 45A cooker switch running on 6mm cable which they've wired up to a standard socket and a plug on the oven. My new hob is rated at 7.3kw and it states to use specific cables for heat safety.
I'm looking at...
Hi
I’ve just had a new kitchen and an induction hob installed which is on its own 32amp rcbo but my question is the total load rating is 7.35 for the induction hob which is just below 32amp if I’ve worked that out properly and it’s fitted to a cooker switch with a socket on which will have...
I recently had a discussion with another spark about induction hobs and diversity.
He pointed out that an induction hob may have, for example, 4 X 3.2kW cooking zones (total 12.8kW), but due to internal power management, the appliance could never draw more than say 7.2kW, that being shared...
Can anyone tell me the Legal distance a induction Hob has to be installed from a sink please, my housing association say they are going to install one 12 inches from my sink and I said this is wrong, also it is to be installed under my window which I have to lean over the hob to open the window...
Have still not installed my Neff induction hob but is near. Was originally going to use 3phase but got battered on here so no. I have a 3 phase supply at home with 3 seperate Hager CUs. Red phase does the kitchen area, ring, lighting and a circuit marked cooker which fed a dual oven in 10mm2 via...
Falcon (Rangemaster) continental induction range 10 yrs old. Tried swapping out control indicator unit pcb (shows the knob settings) with identical pcb to try to correct a control fault. Get er31 code which I think is a configuration issue. Only got knobs, no buttons. How to configure? No jumper...
Last night I was cooking dinner on my induction hob. While I had my back turned to the hob I heard a lot of crackling and popping and then smoke started coming out of the master switch for the hob on the wall. It stank for fish.... It was kind of scary to have to touch the switch that was...

Im moving the cooker from one side of the kitchen to the other and running a brand new supply from the consumer unit. Im also moving from Gas hob to a...
Hello, I've found an old motor originally designed for operating jealousies.
Could you help me read and better understand the following schematic?
As far as I understand, it is a single phase induction motor, there is 47 uF capacitor connected to it in order to start.
There are 3 contacts...
