Hi
New to the forum and wondered if anyone would be able to help re installing a Neff induction hob to replace an old Electrolux ceramic hob.
The existing hob is wired in through an isolator socket behind the worktops and is on its own ring with a 32A ECB in the fuse board. The current cable...
Hi,
I am a keen DIYer and eager to learn.
I have just moved into a house that has a solid ring 6 kw electric hob and built in single oven.
I want to replace both and I have bought a Beko Single Oven and a Induction hob.
Currently the old hob is connected to a 13A plug plugged into a socket...
Evening all, I’ve had a fault recently with a hotpoint free standing electric cooker and wondering if anyone has had a similar problem.
The problem itself is with the induction hob part of the cooker, the hob had blown when a pot was placed on top and the mcb tripped Within a few minutes. The...
My kitchen was rewired last year and I had the electrician run a cooker circuit "just in case" as I was using a gas cooker. He terminated it in a double socket. Now I'm redoing my kitchen and would like to fit an induction hob (7.4 kW) and a single electric oven below (2-3 kW).
The double...
HI Guys, so looking for some advice I've had a re-wire for our new kitchen all was going to plan until yesterday when I realised that my changing of appliance could be a issue.. I told the electrician I was getting a range style cooker so he wired up for this, I changed my mind after seeing the...

Hi all,
I have been asked to install an induction hob to an existing circuit on a 32amp mcb. The oven is a Siemens HB13NB521B rated at 20amp, the hob is a samsung NZ64H37070K rated at 32amp.
My friend is telling me that he has been told by "the man in the shop" he can run both on the one...

fun story, i managed to give myself a wee shock from a new induction hob.
(its in my house, not a customers)

i went to shift it back wards putting my hand on the metal case and got a shock,

Just wanted to check something with the great and the good on here, I'm just about to put in a aeg induction hob in my kitchen, the two diagrams show one 400v diagram with the two lives going to connection points 1 and 2, the 230v diagram (relevant to me) shows the live going to connection point...
i need to wire in an induction hob which is 6.5kw and the cable already chased in is 4mm and would be a real pain to replace for a bigger. I just wanted to know if it would be alright or play it safe with a 6mm?
At the moment I have a stand alone cooker – it is an electric oven with gas hobs.
I want to get rid of this and extend my kitchen worktop to put a new ‘built in’ electric oven underneath in a new oven cabinet and a surface mounted electric Induction Hob on top. (I shall be getting a Gas Safe...
Hello all,
After some advice, a customer of mine has an aga and his wife has got terminal brain cancer meaning she keeps putting stuff on the hot aga forgetting it's on, sometimes even burning herself. He has come to me asking me to fit an oven and a hob for them alongside the aga so they can...
New kitchen - induction hob at 7.4kW (32amp) and oven at 3.6kW (16amp) max ratings. Existing outlets are:
1. 45amp fused cooker circuit
2. fused socket off ring main (32A fuse)
Can both oven and hob be connected off the one 45amp cooker circuit? That's right up to the maximum.
Or can the oven...
Hi peeps.
I am just about to do up my kitchen and currently have a gas hob but want to change it to either induction or ceramic but have found that most of these are around the 32amp mark.
I have a dedicated 32a fuse running to my cooker via a cooker switch (about half a meter from where the...

Hi there

Morning all,
Fitting an automatic swing gate with induction loop tomorrow (with my uncle). My uncle knows what he's doing but this would be a first for me, just doing a bit of research today so I at least know what I'm looking at tomorrow.
The device is by Roger although I couldn't tell you...
Hi,
I apologise if this is in the wrong section, but I did not see a specific forum for help.
My induction hob has packed in today, it simply won't turn on.
There is simply no power to it.
It is around 1 year old.
I have changed the fuse with one that I have taken from a working appliance, no...
Hi guys
Interested in your thoughts here. I recently installed a new circuit to supply an induction hob and oven. The circuit is supplied via a 40 amp rcbo. The rcbo however is intermittently tripping, sometimes when it's not even in use and stone cold I.e no fan etc running. I know the...
My customer's RCD trips on the CU, but only when the induction hob CB is on, and never when the induction hob itself is switched on and operational.
With the hob CB off the RCD never trips.
Is this coincidence and it's another circuit from the CU that is faulty, or is there a fault in the hob...
