Hi, I was wondering if it's ok to join 2 pieces of plastic tubing for cable in the wall. I left a length of tubing about 5 mm short of a built in socket. Is it ok to add, say 3 cm of tubing, using plastic insulating tape? The tubing is for twin and earth cable. Thank you.
Another joining cable thread.....
Just curious how you chaps would have done this ?

GN3 states that it acceptable to connect L and N together and IR to earth in a situation where all wires cannot be disconnected from accessories i.e a row of fluo's
But what is the advantage of doing this rather than just individually IR testing between first L and earth then between N and earth?
