Using a Metrel MFT with a R2 long lead

Hi, how can I connect my Kewtech R2 lead to my Metrel MFT so that I do not have to carry the R2 reel with me whilst doing R2 testing? There was never an issue using a Megger but the Metrel utilises a block connector instead of 3 individual leads. Thanks

Best place for test lead flex? Double insulated silicone I think they are

As above, making some adapters for my MFT but seems a shame to butcher a set of leads - Ok you'll cut them in half and reuse both parts (banana plug section into a C15 and lead and probe section into a C16 (Male to Female). Trying to figure if I should just buy a off the shelf 3 phase, 5 pin R2...

Lead sheathed 2 core lighting circuits /EIC

Evening All, I'm changing a CU from rewirable to 6 x RCBO in a Victorian flat. The two lighting circuits are lead sheathed 2 core, they appear physically undamaged though I've yet to test them but is this an automatic EIC fail? The switches and pendants are all plastic. Thanks for any pointers, Pete

    Fly Lead Size to SWA

Hi there, If I’ve got a SWA, what size should my fly lead cable be from banjo to earth bar ? The wire armouring is only being used for mechanical protection and not by means of supplying a earth. If I am using the SWA as means of a earth connection how do I size the fly lead then?

    Long lead R2 test

Hi just a quick question if doing long lead r2 test would touching a pin on a socket prove that it’s earthed for example? And if it did would it be accurate? Also on the eicr forms I seen it says you have to put a value for either r1+r2 or simply R2, I know you do the long lead R2 test for gas...

Shock from unplugged sewing machine lead

    RCBO with Functional Earth Lead.

I have read somewhere, (but I can't locate the source), that because the RCBO's electronic control operates at a very slightly higher potential than earth, there is a very small leakage to earth through the functional earth lead. Is this correct or is my memory playing tricks?

Ok to sell without detachable lead?

Can anyone advise if it's legal for a business to sell electrical items in the UK that plug in to a mains outlet via a detachable "kettle" lead, but without supplying the lead with the item? (I'm thinking about things like PC power supply units)
