Just brought my 3x 18V Li-Ion Batteries in for a charge ready for tomorrow and 1x of them is now showing as faulty.... all three were working fine earlier today.. not happy as i only bought the set last October.
Anyone else had these problems? i know many have and i may be able to recoup...
I have a pairof 24 volt 3.3ah NI-MH batteries and yesterday I put one to charge. Within 10 minutes the charger had said it was fully charged. Put it onto the drill and there was almost no speed with the drill.
Checked the voltage today and its showing 24.6 volts, but when used its like a flat...
batteries dont seem to be charging.only 12 months old.showing fully charged within 10 minutes. drill starts slow then speeds up then stops as if flat after 5 minutes.put new brushes in, no difference.is it the charger, batteries or the drill ?Can batteries be repaired?
Before I press the 'Order' button, anybody used one? I just want a small, light sds for 5.5mm bits.
Bigger stuff I'll get my Bosch 110v out or perhaps in future purchase the 36v beast
Anybody use 3.6v/7.2/9.6v screwdrivers? I've seen the 10.8v makita/Bosch things but they seem a little large and heavy to fit in my snickers pouch pockets.
I'm after something that'll do inch + 1/2 screws down to 3.5mm plate screws.
Is the 7.2v makita drill driver still the one to beat...
Has anyone used Heller SDS chisels? I'm after a new channelling chisel and can get a good deal on one, or a Makita - are they any good as well?
Nice one!
Has any one used the compact version of the 18v Makita lxt sds opposed to the normal longer version.
I'm wondering if it could be used one handed i.e. if holding on to ladder?
Hi guys, just about to start my level 2 c & g. Have been looking at various different sets of tools that I could start off with and gradually build up my tool collection. One thing that has caught my eye is a 96 piece makita electricians tool kit pouch, for between 40 - £55 on amazon eBay etc...

Looking at buying a 240v Hammer drill and have seen two that I like, which are similar in price.
One is the Makita HR2470 and the other is a Bosch GBH2-26DRE
Just looking for opinions on the best one :D

Hi
I have a BHR200 SDS drill and it has two 24v batteries with it. Last week, one of the batteries declared itself dead when put into the drill. 'Aha, forgot to recharge it' was my first reaction. So I put it in the charger and immediately got two green lights, i.e. fully charged and ready to...
Im after a 240V SDS hammer drill with rotary stop and would like to know which is the best manufacturer to go with. It wont be used day in day out, only occasionally.
Thanks
My Makita impact driver has finally given up this week and 24v sds nearly gone also.
Time for an upgrade I think....
Just wondering where cheapest place to buy Makita is these days...? After some Lithion 18v gear
Thanks,
Sy
Good evening, I am about to purchase a new SDS drill but today I was fitting an extractor and could have really done with a core drill. A few questions if I may.. Do you think this is man enough as it would be nice to have an allrounder instead of a dedicated core drill? Can anyone better this...

Today I managed to drop my nearly new Bosch 14.4v-LI driver down a cavity and after much messing around trying to rescue it have decided it has gone for good.
Looking for a suitable alternative I used to have some of their 10.8v stuff but never used it too much so sold it last year. I have...
