Hello all,
I have been lurking here for a while and have found the forum amusing and informative but this is my first post. We recently had our MCS inspection for solar pv. The inspector gave us a few NCR's, mostly to do with the QMS and easily sorted - I showed him what he asked for and am...
Simple question, can an MCS company use non-MCS subbies and I get two different responses:
Any views on the forum about this?
From MCS via email:
"Thank you for your enquiry.
If a MCS certified company contracts another company ("Company B") to install the electronics, the company ("Company...
Getting everything ready for Hitler arriving at 9 on Monday. Just checking the standards there's 2 versions of MIS 3002 available to download. Is it a trick question? I'd normally just have the latest version 3.2 in my trusty MCS file that I use every day! 3.1 is still there to download -...
I don't know if anyone else is a staggered by some of the events on the main forum as I am. Some of those installs are utterly APPALLING. But what is really surprising to me is how ineffective the competent persons schemes have been.
NICEIC just don't seem interested. But how can they not be...

I'm going on holiday in a week and have my MCS inspection the first working day after we get back. We're busier than we've been since the madness of DEC 2011 and our MCS ..... well when we weren't getting much work we were going to finish with...
Quick question.
Potential customer of mine was given the old SAP2009 calculation by another
company.
When I questioned this they told here its okay to do this as long as they tell
the customer the method they are using.
I know a projection is just a projection but in this case their's comes...
Had our first post new MCS Guideline audits from both bodies in Sept.
Both went very well. MCS guy was a bit dry and factual. RECC lady was really interesting and very supportive and informative.
No major changes to how we operate. Couple of changes to our website. And a few small changes...

As most of you know I do UFH, I've sold a full house of UFH and the customer wants some sort of heat pump to heat the water, 2 firms have said he has to use an MCS or...
Email just popped into my inbox about MCS consultations across technologies. Microgeneration Certification Scheme - Consultations
Deadline 31st October
Believe it or not, we've got our first inspection coming up since November 2010.
We expect a few NCs but nothing too serious - and all of them on the paperwork side.
