Hi all,
Is there a benefit to using a grid switch if its only a 1 gang switch?
Fair enough if you require a 3 or 4 gang grid switch but not if its only a 1 gang.
I recently worked in a low risk mental health unit which used these. The building is fairly old so is this what was generally used...

About to use one of those double outlets for oven and hob igniter just wondering what everyone's views are on connecting hob igniter straight in on the outlet plate as there is no way of over loading the hob cable. I normally fuse down with spur but this outlet plate looks handy and can both be...
Ive just started a rewrite on a large grade A listed building and the client wants to reuse the switches as a period feature but I'm not sure! The switches are the toggle type with a brass face plate that goes over the switches and is held in place with lock rings. The back boxes are cast...

I've been to an office block today to move some lights in a suspended ceiling and label the light switches with it's operation. There was a 12 way grid switch with 3 banks of 3 switches and an emergency light test switch. Each bank of switches was fed via its own mcb and on a different phase...
