Everywhere you look they seem to be around 1-2mm max.
Hi,

The example photo shows thicker cable as the input, and two thinner cables on the outputs. Should the mcb be rated to protect the smaller cable, or can an over/hob be...
I've just moved into a new house and in the kitchen the appliances are isolated by a 4 gang switch where each switch is labelled with 'fridge', 'dishwasher' etc.
One of the switches has a broken switch mechanism and shorted when I switched it so I need to replace the unit - problem is that I...
I've just started cutting out my walls ready for my house to be rewired. I've marked out the areas for the electric sockets with their base at 450mm however when I've started to drill into the walls I've found a horizontal metal plate about 50mm high about 500mm from the floor which seems to run...

Just need some advice for calculating the size of supply for a 3 phase dust extraction unit. In the past i've worked with 3 phase so understand how to do it but this has always been whilst working for other firms who give you the materials and tell you to get on with it. Now that i'm self...

A company i'm doing work for dont include a cooker outlet plate in thier price. I guess its not really a problem as long as you leave plenty on the 6mm so you dont pull the cable out the wall when pulling the cooker out. What you guys think?
