Hello every 1

Hi guys! i have a college assignment for my C&G college 1st year apprentice program and have been asked to draw up a plan of a 2 way lighting circuit from a dist board to a ceiling rose(looped ceiling rose for option of additional feeds) then linked to two single pole switches using 3core and...
Hi all,
A quick question, could a standard single module rcbo be classed as a form of double pole isolation? Or will I have to opt for the twin module.
Got a faulty rcbo on a caravan hook up point an a bit tight for sbace with curent settup in enclosure.
Hi chaps
Having quite a heated discussion with a colleague about a 4 pole RCD. He originally installed a 30mA RCD which now needs to be changed to a 100mA, however the N is on the opposite side. He seems to think that putting L1 into N of the RCD, L2 into L1, L3 into L2 and Neutral into L3...
Hi all, I'm new to this forum and the trade so please be gentle!
I've recently rewired a kitchen with 7 appliances on one ring circuit and each appliance has a switched fused spur to isolate the related socket.
I'm only switching the live in each spur, so the neon on each spur is not lighting...
Chaps,
New to the forum with an opening queery as follows:
I am required to install a 3phase PSU. PSU is essentially a bunch of rectifiers to power DC coms equipment. Clients design is for a 40A 1pole type C MCB x3. I suggested that a Type D 3pole is more suitable and that as best I know it 3x...
Hi all firstly thanks for any help.had a sudden sinking feeling today I have a job Monday to fit a three line consumer with a 125 amp main switch does that switch 125 amp per line or only capable of switching that load across all poles I'm sure it's per line I really hope so anyway.otherwise its...
Hi

Got a puzzler here all..........double pole isolation is used in certain circumstances ie immersion switch, shower pullcord etc, but is it a requirement for it to be double pole and where location wise, special location only or other area's, got me thinking......cant find it in the regs book...
In having some work done on my patio, the guys doing the work found an Earth Pole for grounding and noticed that the green/yellow wire leading from the electircal board in the house, through the wall and outside wasn't connected to this - it was just hanging loose on the floor.
a.) Is there any...
This may sound silly
I have to install a 16amp supply via a new DB as existing one full. My only problem is I am very limited on space. Now could I just install a enclosure with a 16 DP MCB which would double up as a main switch in a 2 way enclosure or do I need to have a main switch to isolate...
Hello All
I have a three phase supply coming in plus Neutral plus Earth. I'd like to wire two switches. Is there any reason I'd need to switch the Neutral (by using a 4 pole switch)? Or can I just use a 3 pole switch and let the N and E wires flow through continuous?
Thanks for any advice, kkc.
Hi
When installing a 3 phase distribution circuit what determines the type isolator to use ( 3 or 4 pole ). In other words does the neutral have to be switched?
Cheers
