In a commercial premises, I was called to recently, the power had tripped off. It turned out it was a SON lamp which was causing the problem. This tripped the 30mA RCBO for the lights and also the main 30mA RCCB below DB 3, which in turn meant other essential circuits i.e. chilled food cabinets...

Being a tad lazy but have just looked at a 4 way board change.
Seems a bit silly to install a 3 + 4 way dual RCD board and I don't like the thought of a single RCD front end either. It made me wonder if there are any CU's on the market with a RCBO "bundle", say 2 x 32A, 1 x 16A and 1 x 6A...

I have a problem to sort out - it is a TT system with a faulty 80A 10mA RCCB after the meter and before the consumer unit. The board is very old style MCBs with no RCDs present.
The customer called me up because until about 6 weeks ago the front garden lights were causing the RCCB to trip. I...

Doing a rewire at the moment in an empty house. I am using RCBO's mostly so when i got 1 room complete i wired the 4mm radial into the RCBO so we could get the kettle going.
After several brews i went to disconnect it only to find i had wired it into a 6 Amp RCBO!
The trip never operated once...
