can someone tell me where i can get blank smoke alarm certificates, NICEIC are asking me to fill these certs in. only place i can find them is the niceic shop. could someone post a copy or a blank form i can fill in on the pc please,

How would others connect a mains interlinked smoke alarm that does not use a surface patress. There is a ceiling plate, and a 3 wire connector.
I would probably use wago lighting connector with junction box, but this leaves the detectors exposed under the floor. Are there any better alternatives?
I have a new client who is unable to take down the attached smoke alarm to advise who the manufacture is ? They are an hours journey away and it would be nice to goto site with an additional smoke alarm as requested for a new room without visiting first. Any suggestions. Thanx

I am about to wire two interconnected smoke alarms with 1mm csa3 core and earth to the lighting circuit (bungalow) can any one tell me if the cables need any special mechanical protection or do the normal cable routing rules apply? cheers for any help..

Just been going through some plans for a loft conversion. Standard sort of size 3 bed property (4 with loft conversion)
And they've specified x 9 smokes throughout - everywhere apart from kitchen ! and 2 x bathrooms.
Not sure what to make of that really, bit excessive maybe ? Not...
