Hi just wondered if the cables supplied by a TV manufacturer for the many TVs in our office block which have a half PVC shroud on the plug pins should have failed because of no earth? They were supplied with the TVs so we assumed they would pass ok. All the TVs are brand new, the PAT tester said...
Hi,
I am looking to change my PAT test machine as after a few months of use have found another which I find more suitable for my needs.
However I have posted it 3 times in 4 weeks on E-bay, at around half the price it cost Sept last year, and every time plenty of watchers but no bidders.
Have...
I have signed up for a 4Kwp system with Yingli panels, SMA400TL inverter and Sunny WebBox for monitoring through the Sunny Portal. I am thinking of adding a Sunny SensorBox which measures the actual irradiation falling on the panels and the panel temperature. This in theory will give me a...

Hi,
I'm trying to get together some panels and/or inverters for a display board with a mock up roof and mounting system etc. For this I need some panels and an inverter. They don't need to function at all but just need to look OK with no visible damage. Let me know if you can help. Thanks!

Looks very simple and quite a good idea but have doubts because by the looks of the images, the brackets aren't screwing into the beams under the sheets and also the panels sit very close to the roof sheets which on a dark roof...
While inspecting a premises I have come across...a 3 phase cold room with 40amp mcb protection. The problem is...the supply cable is 2x2.5mm 4 core and a separate 4mm earth run along with the 2 cables. The 2.5mm cables are doubled at the mcb,(does this create a 5mm supply).
A 5mm supply cable will...

I've just been reading a thread on another forum which seems to be showing that Siemens meters don't differentiate between exported energy and used energy. It adds the 2 figures together so the customer ends up paying for the 5 kwh they use AND the 20kwh they generated on the same day.

Hi guys,
I am ready to buy my first MTF. I want the Megger 1552. Question is should I buy a new one with 3 years warranty or go for a cheaper version and buy a used one without warranty or calibration certificate?
Thank you!
