Has anyone come across automatic strippers to pull of the sheath of a cable already in a back box. The regular ones can do it to a degree but due to the design they can't get all the way to the end of the cable.
Any suggestions for strippers to do this that have a smaller head and can pull from...

Hi,
I have accidentally pulled a wire out of connector (believe it is a molex?)
I have seen info about getting the metal part out of the connector but only if the wire is still attached.
Is there any way I can get the metal part out so I can reattach the wire?
Thanks
Hi All,

However, the electrical circuit in the garage is an old circuit and wasn't...
Hi, i live in a new build house where they builders have left a junction box on the outside of my house. In the junction box there is a 6mm twin and eath cable and what looks like a Cat5 cable. The twin and earth is currently in connector blocks. This cable runs from the junction box straight to...
I’m running wires to the basement for future basement finishing. I’d like to add two circuits of outlets (one on the finished side and one on the unfinished side of the basement), baseboard heaters (I’m also open to other heating options, the basement stays in the low 60’s in the winter, so I...
I recently bought a bathroom mirror with LED & Bluetooth speakers (from Amazon). There is a double isolated symbol on the back of the mirror yet there is also an earth wire connection. Is this unusual and should it be a cause of concern? It has not been installed yet - just wondering what your...

Hi New to this forum, Just looking for some advise as a DIY person. I have recently purchased a new home. I have come across a wall light which seems to be PL, and therefore always on. I have tried all switches in the home one by one and none turn it off, I cant see any switches nearby or fuse...
Hi All,
I'm looking at installing an induction hob in my kitchen (upgrade from gas) and I gather that it can be added to the cooker circuit if there's enough capacity.
In the fuse box and at the cooker end, the cooker circuit is wired in with 6sqmm cable, but only has a 16A MCB which I gather...
I purchased a house that has a really cool 12v halogen setup where two wires are suspended across the ceiling in two different locations, and each of which carries four 50W halogen bulbs. Each has a separate driver and dimmer.
I first replaced the halogen bulbs with 8w LEDs, and they worked...
Thank you for taking a look at my issue.

Hello,
First of all, thank you in advance for any helpful insights posted in response to my question.

Howdy DIY soldiers, first post here.
My question comes down to whether it would be particularly unsafe for me to temporarily wire nut and tape a neutral wire connected to an active knob and tube circuit and leave it in a wall behind a plastic box.
I know that the "correct" answer per the NEC...
