Can anyone tell me what model number this wylex board is please.
I am aware there are 2no types of model of this type of wylex db.
1 of them allows a NHXSBS1S1B32 wylex rcbo to fit
The other type doesn’t.
I cannot get to job to take off lid to find a model number of this board
Can anyone answer...
I was asked to "just fit a bigger breaker" by a plumber who had installed an electric shower for a customer. Bit surprised he hadn't finished the task but I arrived with a DIN rail full of conventional, spring fitted MCB's. I've seen a fair amount of old kit (East London rentals are full of the...
Doing a CU change yesterday, having purchased an 8 way Wylex board and 6 Wylex miniature RCBOs recently, and was about to fix the board until sods law, it's a stud wall and the screw holes don't align with the vertical battens. Decided the easiest thing to do would be get an 11 way. As I was...
Hi guys,
I have Wylex BS5486 60Amps circuit board in the house. I want to add:
1. a gang of sockets (no existing sockets in the loft, there is a light switch which turns on/off 5 lights in the loft) in the loft and
2. new wirings for two new Chandeliers lights in one of the room.
The...
Evening all. My neighbour just got me out the shower as he has no lighting. He's got an old wylex consumer unit with retro fit MCB, the one with the red button to trip.
Anyway after removing the cover found nothing between L-N and L-CPC out going on both lighting circuits, but power on the...
I intend installing a Wylex CU with spd, as a secondary CU in my house. Not installed many Wylex CU’s, but see they have a couple of different designs. Want to use the smaller switched neutral RCBO’s.
Which one would you recommend?
Evening all ,I’m sure I saw on here recently a WYLEX mcb compatibilty chart showing what breakers fit which bus bars/boards. I’ve had a search and can’t find it, dont suppose the OP could bung it up again.
many thanks.
I bought the NM506L from Superlec and specified the current rating for the mcbs to fit it
What they supplied are Wylex PSB mcb's and they don't fit, at least they misalign with the switch by 4 mm and you can't put the cover on.
Can anyone tell me what mcbs I should be using. I never thought...
A client has a Wylex NHRS RCD main switch CU with MCBs prefixed NSB. I don’t use or see a lot of Wylex kit; are the newer NHXL prefixed MCBs compatible with this ’board?
Folks,
A bit baffled (not difficult) ... added a light switch in a rental this week (empty property so no social distancing issues) and checked the RCD before I signed off. It was a Wylex 80a 30mA and it failed all tests (inc. ramp) so I like-for-like replaced it. The new one also failed all...
Got a Wylex NN board installed in April 1990, at some point a bigger shower (Bristan Cheer 8.5kW) has been installed leaving the original NB30 Type 2 as a spare with an NB40 breaker being installed to run the larger shower.
The NB40 breaker keeps tripping, have established the breaker is the...
As currently got sod-all to do, I was thinking about the choice of TPN board for a new set up. It only needs 2-3 three phase circuits and around a dozen single phase, total well below 100A, so initially our sparky had suggested something like the Wylex NHTN12MR 12-way board as ample and his...
Wondering if someone can help, I have an old surplus of wylex/crabtree rcbos. They are identical in moulding. I wanted to use them up in my new extension rather than for a customer because the mix match branding on them. I've ordered a new wylex nm range db and although the sit perfectly on the...
One of these: RS/104 | Wylex 45A Fuse Switch Disconnector, 240V | RS Components - https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/fuse-switches/1993925/
is in my kitchen and recently got smashed by someone dropping a very heavy chopping board. The insides look ok but the housing is now useless.
The switched...
