Identifying an old Wylex CU Breaker

I was asked to "just fit a bigger breaker" by a plumber who had installed an electric shower for a customer. Bit surprised he hadn't finished the task but I arrived with a DIN rail full of conventional, spring fitted MCB's. I've seen a fair amount of old kit (East London rentals are full of the...

Doing a CU change yesterday, having purchased an 8 way Wylex board and 6 Wylex miniature RCBOs recently, and was about to fix the board until sods law, it's a stud wall and the screw holes don't align with the vertical battens. Decided the easiest thing to do would be get an 11 way. As I was...

    Which Wylex CU

I intend installing a Wylex CU with spd, as a secondary CU in my house. Not installed many Wylex CU’s, but see they have a couple of different designs. Want to use the smaller switched neutral RCBO’s. Which one would you recommend?

Two new Wylex RCDs both failed tests

Folks, A bit baffled (not difficult) ... added a light switch in a rental this week (empty property so no social distancing issues) and checked the RCD before I signed off. It was a Wylex 80a 30mA and it failed all tests (inc. ramp) so I like-for-like replaced it. The new one also failed all...

Industrial TPN board, Hager or Wylex?

As currently got sod-all to do, I was thinking about the choice of TPN board for a new set up. It only needs 2-3 three phase circuits and around a dozen single phase, total well below 100A, so initially our sparky had suggested something like the Wylex NHTN12MR 12-way board as ample and his...
