1000W Metal Halide Floodlight replacement lens

I am trying to find out who the manufacturer of this fitting is? They are on a portable generator floodlight set.

Have a feeling it is Thorn, but nothing obvious on the units. Anyone seen them before? I need a replacement glass lens!

Yeah thanks for that. I forgot to say that Euro don't seem to exist anymore, had 2 wholesaler reps on it as well so any other useful input appreciated.

You could take measurements from existing fitting and get a hardened glass replacement cut at a local glass suppliers outlet...

Have tried that as well and was quoted around £250 from one such place as it has to be heat proof etc!

Yeah sorry thats my fluff up - got a spare one in stores, just checked and its only 250.... That was about 50 snots.

As spartykus said, they're practitioners In light, whatever that means! Bit of a pain. Spartykus Does the glass of the 250w fitting you have in the stores measure 400mm wide by 445mm high?! May be worth buying a cheapo fitting and pinching the glass from it. And yes it is mega bright, temporary sports floodlighting.

I can't see a 400mm X 445mm bit of heat proof glass costing £250, that amounts to over half the cost of a new fitting!! Check around, that place you tried, probably didn't have any in stock, and wanted you to pay for a far bigger sheet for his stock!! lol!!

no, its 290 x 410 (approx, thats the outer casing dimensions). The one Ive got is " NVC lighting technology".
