Hi just starting my 17th Ed regs 3 day course today and was wondering what is the best way to mark out the book(tabs),

Why would they insist on a clean copy of BS7671 when there is a Corrigendum which has to be written into it? A clean copy of BS7671 would in fact be an incorrect copy of BS7671.

And the regs books in the exam room were not ours when i sat the exam, its no big deal as the exam is IMO too easy anyway
Perhaps the regs books in the exam room have been amended? basically they do not allow you to take in your own regs book
Yeah i can take mine in with me and its allowed to be marked and tabbed.That is no longer correct. C&G do permit you to take your own regulations in - perhaps your test centre do not permit this.
Done my exam tonight,i was allowed to take my marked and tabbed book in too.
