2391 is it really fair?

Hey Jonny, I sat the June 14th 2012 test. I've read somewhere they will notify us of the results after 42 days. It's been 44 days, including weekends, not sure if it is only business days.

Can anyone confirm it is a 42 day waiting time please guys?

no set time limit , usually results get sent to college first , then forwarded on to you.

Has anyone contacted City & Guilds directly to see what their response is on the last few 2391 exams?

Doubt you will get a reply.

Maybe have to wait 42days..........?

Cheif examiers report for the March one I sat should be published this week.

I believe that the nationbal pass rate is 40% mate i had to wait 7 weeks for my results , may I add I passes first time .... was tricky though....ya have to have some knowledge and tetsing skills to get through it,,, there was an assessor from the city and guilds sat in on our test all day as they were assessing our assessors and we did both exams at the end of the week one on thursday the writen one , then the practical test on the friday.

The "standard" of the 2391 has not been dumbed down, unlike the majority of exams these days, and as a result requires a high level of knowledge, combined with a high level of perdantic need for the correct terminology.

The numbers of people passing the 2391 has not increased over time, as a percentage.

Oh for a 2391 exam! I've been creaming past papers to prepare for the 2394/5 exams, and did the 2395 written last night... OUCH! Think I'll be looking at a retake
Think I'll do better tonight with the 2394 now I know how they've restructured the way they ask things, but it was harder than I expected compared to 2391 papers, so if anything they've made it more difficult. On the plus side there are a number of units that come together to make the final result, so not so bad if you cock up in one area, at least you don't have to retake all of it!

Hi guys I'm fairly new to this forum. Just wanted to write and ask a if anyone has appealed against your 2391 written exam result?
I have just been told I failed the written exam which I sat in June 2012, but I honestly can believe it!
i came out of the exam feeling confidence in myself that I had done well. I believe I answered all questions correctly and used correct terminology!
I studied so much for this exam, I read GN3 from front to back at least 5 times, done past papers and made notes, so it's not like I didn't revise.
So I was surprised by the mark.


So has anyone appealed their mark and what was the outcome of this?

There was someone who appealed in my exam and they decided he passed!
So if your confident you should have passed then why not. Your training centre should be able to tell you what to do.

Have you any idea how long it took for the appeal to come thru for the guy in your class?

If I have to resit it's not until October but I feel I shouldn't have too!
