evening all, wondered if you could shed some light on a little project. Friend of mine has a forklift and charger and are moving , the existing set up is a blue 2p + e 3 pin plug into a 3pin socket . (Haven’t seen Board etc so not sure what cable) ,

Well there moving to a new premises, and he has a 3 phase board with spare ways, question is as the socket states 230v 2phase + e , how can he achieve this on a 3 phase board?

Never come across this wondered if you can help.

He was advised to fit a double pole mcb in Board and wire into l1, l2 and earth , but unless I’m missing something this isn’t correct and won’t give him 230v

Thanks all, exactly what I was thinking but as I don’t do commercial works I wanted to double check and it now confirms my friend has been told a load of rubbish and they were trying to justify quoting him £780 to do the work when it’s only 1 meter away from fuse board

Thanks everyone will let my friend know

by putting it on one of the phases !

Not if the DB is on the other side of a 600mm granite wall, and to go round it is 60 meters extra ;)
