4 Way C/U change...price? type?

Had a guy just ring up saying his old fuse board is melting. Its only 4 way, small house I guess, he's actually already sold the house so not particularly keen on shelling out ££££££'s on an upgrade but I said its the only option.
I'm inclined to go with an RCBO board, just wondered what kinda price I should charge him. I usually use a split load 10 way and charge £350
but seems pointless on 4 circs. The thing is, I reckon a decent 5/6 way RCBO board with 4 breakers (I prefer the wylex metal clads, they are taller) will set me back more than a 10 way split load. Cant get a price today obviously, its sunday. Any ideas what I should charge? I've said approx £280 but think maybe a bit more....

Hi. I think the main switch thing means single point of isolation per source. As you know Solar is a different source so would never have the same isolator as a grid supply.

But for all AC circuits it means one isolator.

Not saying thats the way the world is! But agree with tonkatoy in my interpretation also, it infers one "off " switch. Loads not like that though.

Hi reference joe j, agree very grey are regs, i read article obsolescence method of earthing where a single RCD on TT installations is now not allowed due to nuisance tripping and loosing power to whole installation and you should tell customers that if you do any work this is no longer acceptable, ha will they listen doubt it!! and it should be changed I have had a few who have understood and accepted the change, not all!
