Afternoon guys,
Just wondered what the difference is, if any between a 61009-1 RCBO and 61009-2 RCBO?
Are the characteristics different for any reason for different applications?
I noticed that 61009-2 came out 1995?
Thanks

According to BSi there is

BS EN 61009-2-1:1995 current
BS EN 61009-1:1995 withdrawn and replaced by ....
BS EN 61009-1:2004+A14:2012 current, but superceded

bit of a mess and I'm none the wiser

BSEN61009-1 are the general rules for household RCBOs
BSEN61009-2-1 is the applicability of the general rules to RCBOs functionally independent of line voltage.
BSIEC 1009-2-2 is the applicability of the general rules to RCBOs functionally dependent on line voltage.

Thanks for information. I'm also wondering about automatic resetting RCBO's that are about. Are their any guide lines that governs there use, Anyone had any experience with these?
When I have time, I will have a look on Google. Thanks
