Yes I used the example of a aerial mast bonding, which of course normal domestic ones are not, though I believe now in the UK communal ones have to be, but the metal flue that is bonded is a better example.

Yes if that flue is bonded to a PME MET and you need to bond your frame and you take it to a rod, then in theory you will have 2 different earth potentials on that roof.
 
What size earth cable would you use if earthing to a stake? after taking advice from 2 different sources i was told 6mm & 10mm!!!!!!!
 
As your limiting touch voltages you are bonding the frame and as the DTI insist that only a PME earthing systems need a separate earth electrode then you size the bonding conductor to regulation 544.1.1 and therefore to table 54.8 and that would be for a supply cable neutral of less than 35mm, be 10mm
