Admin Phil is going in to hospital in the morning for a small(ish) heart operation. He is only 40 years old.

I'll pick him up in the morning and take him back home at the end of the day (hopefully) to his wife and two wonderful girls. We have both talked about this for several months, we know that the odds are in his favor but he still feels apprehensive about the procedure. He is a fit and well man, this should be just a procedure but he has complications that may cause other effects. I'm confident but I also have my fingers crossed.

Phil, I am honored that you asked me to be by your side in your time of need. And I wont even take the Mick out of you when your recovering (much).

Phil, no idea who you are and am sure you are a respected person on here. I wish you well and I'm sure everything will be fine. My dad has had two heart attacks, 5 stents and two minor strokes in the last few years so can understand what sort of feelings will be floating around. Its amazing what the can do these days!

Thank you to everyone for all the messages and to Paul for the lift down and an ear to bend. I did have it done but unfortunately it did not work. went through the whole procedure had a load of drugs pumped in and they did there best but they did not manage to create the short circuit that is causing the trouble. Should have just opted for an rcbo instead :) so back to the meds that make me feel like carp for now. I have to go for a follow up in clinic and then back again for a second go.

In all seriousness if anyone ever has to go for one the procedure has its risks as all do but it was no where as bad as I thought it may be. The worst bit is feeling the tubes go in either side of the groin and then a little bit of discomfort when they put the tubes up to the heart chamber. apart from that its not bad at all.

By the way my bikini line looks fab just been walking like an 80 year old for a couple of days.

Glad to hear you came through OK mate,my brother had supra ventricular tachycardia and we lost him aged 30,unfortunately they didn't,t have the technology back then and due to a bout of depression he stopped taking his meds and we lost him.Whatever happens if you are on meds please remember to take them.all the. Very best mate,I hope you get sorted and live to a ripe old age.
