Ok centre should 0v right should be 13 pus volts, right should be 13.8v........measure centre & right, the centre & left

Did that mate left and centre came back 1v centre and right came back 0v but 15v coming out the transformer. The picture I posted is the back of the reg, looks like it's burnt out

difficult to say, but if you measure ohms from each pin to the next point on the respective track, you may find the track broken by the pins. a scrub off of the varnish and use of a soldering iron might cure. obviously, power down first.

If I'm honest mate I'd rather put a new pcb in rather than start soldering but just wanted to make sure it was the pcb that's faulty before changing

OK, fair enough. Still better to use a multimeter. How do you know whether your Megger is reading AC or DC? ie, does it have an indicator for this?

No it doesn't mate but on the instructions says it automatically switches between Ac and dc. I have got a multimeter but it's not the best to be honest and unsure if I trust it.

I've managed to get a brand new 800l kit with control box key pad etc. I'm going to use the 800l control box for my others half mum and use the new keypad and bell box on her sisters. The bell box is a ag6 I've tried searching the Internet and the chaps already posted it so cannot take a picture for me. Because the bell box has been stood a couple of years I was thinking about changing the battery, but is the battery plug and play or is it soldered directly to the pcb?

You may be able to get a new battery and use crimps to connect it onto the existing cables to the old battery , just open the bell box up and have a look to see if you can do this I have never changed a battery in a bell box before though mines bean on the house for about 20 years and still work fine.you can test the bell box before you fit it normally by removing the hold off link

This did cross my mind but didn't want to seem abit rough lol. Might just replace the battery and be done with it saves messing around if the battery is nakered

Hey guys me again lol

Got a phone call off sister in law earlier her alarms been going off while she's been at work today. Number 8 lit on the keypad and won't reset. It's been working fine for 5 or so days

Am I right in thinking 8 on the keypad is the bell box? Thinking the tamper might not be sitting right but does this need any resisters or diodes fitting?
