Working with other people always shows different methods.

I had to show a spark working with me recently (with twice the experience) not to twist CPC's together, and why.

Ptff, i did a 4 year apprenticeship mate.. Got laid of TWICE during it and managed to find JOBS both times to MAKE SURE i completed my apprenticeship!! So dont go giving me that Shizzle -_-

It was a simple question, ONE Company i worked with did crimps inside board the other INSISTED on din rail and that.. And said that they WOULDNT use crimps inside a CU as CRIMPS can become lose or if not CRIMPED properly (I.e RUSHING and making mistake) then could case problems.

So hush your trap when you dont know shizzle ive worked hard as HELL to get were i am and took so many pay cuts to get jobs etc.. I started my apprenticeship on £2 / Hour.. Then to £3 / Hour when i learned to drive.. In 2nd year was paid £5 / Hour.. GOT laid off, sent email to everyone saying i would work for £3 / Hour.. Got a job working for £3 / Hour when passed 2nd year got to £6.40 / Hour.. 3rd year passed got £7.50 / hour.. Completed Apprenticeship got £9 / Hour.. SO please SHH i could have easily have just done my 2nd year then thought F*C* this shizzle and just done a 3 week course and set up on own BUT NO i insisted on completing apprenticeship and getting all my qualifications...

It was a simple query as not sure what NIC would LIKE / Prefer.. GRR u made me mad

If you pull it to make sure the connection is good then unless it is interfered with it won't come loose. That's why they are allowed to be buried in walls / plaster. Unlike a chocolate block that came come loose due to constant heating / cooling which can work the screws loose.

I think anyone will agree that you did the right thing by asking about something you were unsure about though, especially if a company you worked for told you it was wrong.
In fact, I got a job last week because I am known to ask questions rather than carry on regardless.

Must confess, thought it was a reasonable question. I would rather lend my meter out than crimp small solid cables like T&E but sometimes you godda do it. My ratchet crimper mind is more likely to make the crimp explode rather than come loose,

Why confess ? Quite reasonable, I agree. Doubts do occur, why shouldn't someone ask if they're unsure?

Its a reasonable question!.. Wasn't certain if you were allowed any joints inside of the CU how am i supposed to know if ive only ever been taught that you need an adaptable box and din rail? Not my fault is it..

Figure of speech......they do ask and it sometimes appears to be lighting a blue torch flame, dunno why, i tend to react only to plumbers and plasterers trying to wind us up, as if its not enough with their workmanship.

It doesn't matter whether the NIC is happy or not!! Although they THINK that they are something special they do not make/publish the industries regulations!! So unless you have gone outside of BS7671, (which in this instance, you most certainly haven't) there is very little, if anything they can say.... Believe it or not, Even the NIC needs to comply with BS7671... lol!!
