Im stumped TBH , i have worked out resistance 31.2ohms. capacitance 100micro farads (xc 18.72ohms) and (xl 10.68 ohms) struggling from where to go from this point on.

Interesting as we have just had two power factor correction units installed in our substation at the back of the factory, I think they were around £15k each but supposedly it will be recouped in no time with the lower electricity bills. Does this sound realistic or a waste of money?

Work out your resistive current and then your reactive current.

With what we have covered at college we have never been asked to work out anything as in depth as this, and its made me realise how much i need to learn. In regards to working out the current, i am unsure how to do this. Would it be along the lines of using the 34amps over the second set of parallel resistors!
