... Is it me, or do the nail-in cable clips just not go in to the surface and just bend?

How do you attach your cables to hard-rendered outdoor walls?

Is there an alternative way? I was thinking of using Cable cleats, but am not sure on the size to get for 7mm Coax cable.

I look forward to your time-served wisdom.

Thanks
Si

Don't that look nicer than an old bent up nailed clip

When I was on the tools I would have been sacked for making a bend of that standard. The bend should be tight and square and that one is neither.

You are of course just saying that on a wind up OC as I know that someone of you technical ability would never do a tight and square bend.

Look at the bottom, the cable is slightly rising from right to left before the bend starts, and then after the bend the cable is running off to the left and then to the right. The bend should maintain a continuous radius, and that one doesn't. Also the clips are not equally spaced from back of bend. UGH sloppy, untidy, uncaring, unskilled, whats his hidden work like?

So we have decided that a square and tight bend is not good now?

It was an example of a p clipped cable that I took off the internet as unfortunately to show some cable that i have dressed would mean me flying back to the UK and finding a factory that is either still open or still standing up!!!! and photograph, it was an example my dear chap

OC you really are such a lovely chap behind this facade of being a belligerent troll, we really do love you on here and why you want to be so aggressive and obtuse is beyond me, as all we do is give you that love and support.

I suppose there must be some deep lying root of hostility in you, perhaps you had a bad experience from a sparks that as left you scarred, but be we will talk you through the pain ...................now deep breath and say to yourself I will be nice, I will be nice, every day in every way I get better and better .......................

My comments were not directed at any person. I commented on some crap workmanship explained why and gave a full explanation, and for that I'm being called a troll. And all right angle bends in cables and conduits should be square and if you can't understand what that means then it isn't my problem.

Edit - Sitting here laughing, how can a grown man take some comments I made about a piece of pyro as some sort of personal insult and then subject me to a vicious verbal attack, unbeliveable but highly amusing.

No Tony I don't thing we will divert.

I have never in all my time in this game known a multicore cable or in this case a coax, bend described as being square or tight. In fact if I mentioned to anyone that I'm going to dress that cable in a tight and square bend then I would have had my knuckles wrapped.

If i had said I was going to do a sweeping 90 bend and make sure that it went in and out of the bends level then I would have had ok son.

As my old nan would say OC you could pick an argument in an empty room.

If you don't like an image that someone has posted, to show an inexperienced forum user an example of a clip then please, do ignore the post and move on.

These HERE are the nail in plugs that MarkieSparkie is referring to.

There is nothing wrong withe describing a bend as square, look up the meaning of 'square', and accept that today you learnt something new.

I've no idea what that means.

The only one who's arguing is you.
