Quoted a CU change ( to include full test before change ) quoted £ 500.00 got told by client it should be £ 150.00 when I asked how he came to this figure he produced and ad by B & Q , 10 way dual RCD board £50.00
I told him to go and get it and ask for one of ' how to do' fact sheets
 
I don't think anyone here will argue that the cost of a particular job in London is going to cost more, than for exactly the same job in say Swansea!! You'll find that Solicitors and Doctors will also be charging more in London too... So what Des is saying above, is in fact a reality, like it or not rates ''Are'' different around the country, the same goes for house prices too, as well as a good few other things....
 
Always difficult for a non-professional to understand the difference between the price they can buy the materials needed for a job and the price a pro charges, including labour. And with labour prices inevitably increasing faster than materials, this apparent 'discrepancy' will become greater. And even harder for the non-pro to understand.
