Banned from Navitron

i know gavin uses that forum and I sure he know them better than me but i sure gavin has some link in his signautre ??? correct me if I am wrong

missed this earlier.

I used to have a proper link to our website, but removed it when they changed the rule on sigs, after having a bit of discussion with them as personally I think it should be fair enough that we get a little bit of link traffic in exchange for our expert advice on their site, plus my posts are directly linked to the company then they're much more clearly covered by our professional indemnity insurance for any advice I give.

I now do have a link in my sig, but it's to a picture of our own panels, which we actually did buy from navitron back when we were first starting up, so they allowed it on that basis.

Speaking as one of the moderators on the Navitron Forum perhaps I should point out some of the rules:

(9a) Website links are only allowed in signatures if they are agreed by a Moderator or Admin. If you wish to place a link in your signature, you will need to contact one of the moderators for prior approval. If the website linked is DIY or non-commercial in its nature, then this will be perfectly acceptable. If the link is to a commercial website, it will be acceptable only if the products/services sold are based on Navitron equipment, or if the product/services are non-competing with Navitron's and agreed by Navitron Admin. Installers who offer installation of Navitron equipment will be allowed to post their links if they exclusively offer installation of Navitron equipment. Installers offering Navitron-sourced equipment alongside other non-Navitron-sourced equipment or those who have only purchased from Navitron once or twice in the past will not be allowed to post their website links

(9b) Member Usernames which are directly related to company names or websites or names which make up phrases advertising a service are not allowed. e.g. you may not choose a Username such as 'cheapsolarinstallations' or 'Cheap Solar Ltd' or 'Wessex Solar Installations'. If you already have a Username of this nature, please take steps to change it, or if you are unable to do this, contact a member of our moderator team who will be able to help you make these changes.

(9c) For most members no change will be necessary, although some may need to register their existing signature link with Navitron. Failure to register your signature link will result in its removal. Any member reinstating a link which has been removed by Admin will be subject to a ban. These measures have been taken to prevent the small minority who abuse the system, and Navitron regrets the inconvenience caused to the majority of forum members.

my web adress and email are in my profile !

the funny thing is I just been back on the navitron forum my old post are still there with my image and sign !!!

Martin screaming spam is risible given he used to spam forums all over the place claiming navitron to be the best blah blah blah.

Mep honestly mate forget it he's turned into a real nasty 5hite since he got ill a few years back and there's no point trying to reason with him, good men have tried and failed.

Just in case anyone is wondering if I was booted offthere, I wasn't. I left after Ivan took exception to my telling him I was importing my own solar equipment. I never had a work related signature on there or anywhere else for that matter.
