Hi

Just wanted to ask if anyone has done the basic literacy and Numeracy test that you have to take to gain entrance to the Electrical Installation C&G Level 2 2330? I,m a mature student and hopefully going to be doing this at Barking and Dagenham College this September 2 evenings a week for 3 hours each.

Just wondering how easy or difficult these are. I'm also 36, has anyone done an evening course at this age?!

Many thanks

Thanks for advice everyone, sounds like just a basic test then! It was more the english than the maths i was a bit worried about, as I got a C in maths at school so cant be to bad! Like you said it sounds like just a guide to see if you would be able to cope with the course.

Hi,
I had to do a similar test a couple of years ago to get on to the same course at Chelmsford College and i was 29 at the time. It included a few addition, subtraction, multiplication and division questions. Also a few percentage ones. I have the same grades as you and i didnt have any problems. I wouldnt worry too much about it. The only thing that threw me was this standard 3-4-5 triangle.
