Have a clean slate of a bathroom to first fix. My builder mentioned that I should go for door activated or even movement PIR .. not keen. Also I’m not really interested in switch outside as it’s likely to get switched off by someone either accidentally or as a prank. Think I will stick to a pull chord with fan isolator above door on outside. Anyone recommend any trendy new high tech stuff that they’ve been installing?

Christ, how has life got so complicated. A bathroom light has never been a problem for flip's sake. Pull switch - nice and simple. If you go in and it's dark, pull the pull cord. No need for apps, smart-phones, anything fancy. And it's ultra-safe so no issue when someone steps out of the shower pi** wet through and goes for a standard plate switch.

And the fan - put a fan in with it's own pull cord. No need to switch the light on if it's not chuffin' dark!

Why do we over-complicate things that are incredibly simple.
