We got a letter to the house a few weeks ago detailing the new tariffs and prices, and our projected bill for next year was est. at £30k...haha. If theres not something wrong there then Im going to new to be working about 10 jobs!

Please scan and upload this:) Black out your details etc

Hilarious

My meter's going backwards - I have told them - and my new meter reading gave me a usage of 99994 units! When I called them they said my current bill was for £15 000 or somesuch.

Have they installed a new Digital meter or is this off an old dial meter? Maybe it's gone back so far it's on a reset on itself.

Just got a letter from nPower swapping our tariff from 28.26p/day Standing charge and 9.26 per kWh to 10.08p / day and 15.74p / unit ... told them to go .... we're switching to isupplyenergy.co.uk (corrected) Standing Charge: 22.05p per day / Daily Unit Price/s: All Units: 9.96p per kWh (then we do consume over 8000kWh / annum even with our PV systems)

So I'll end up paying a 3.8% increase after 18 months, - I can live with that!

If I stayed with what npower offered i'd be facing an increase of a whopping 53% !!!!!!!

Moral - don't take the increases lying down - shop around

News today: Gas Prices: Watchdogs Probe Fixing Claims

Just to kick this one off again... We have a broken/fixed (not as in repaired) energy market, QE fueled energy inflation and the supply/demand relationship all resulting in higher energy prices.

Given that the FSA absolutely fail to regulate the banks i'm not holding much hope of them and Ofgem sorting this out satisfactorily either.

All of which makes PV the best investment around with index linked payments and the ability to supply your own energy.
