Got a customer going off on one because when drilling through to the outside on two of several holes the red brick laminated.
She wants it made good.
Sand cement is a no no as its 'the wrong colour'
The boss has lost it with her and has said to me 'sort it'.
Suggestions please.

Unfortunately the only way to do this properly would be to replace the brick, what kind and colour is the brick, you can buy dye to colour the sand cement mix but you will have to see what colour it drys as it will be much lighter in colour it when is set.
you cant paint silicone, but you can paint caulk and frame sealant, but you probably wont get a good colour match.

a bit of pre-emptive here, never drill from indoors to out onto a wall where brick blast crater can be seen as unsightly unless you cant hide it by your fitting etc, always spend time to measure and drill inwards, that way your either between the floorboards or depending on job- repairs to blasted plaster which is simples. Learning curve we all learn, it dont answer your question but shes in the right to demand the repair, i did it to sky installer as he drilled out and left blast crater.... unsightly ...stands out and 6months free sky as an apology.... they offered me 1 month at first but a bit of mind games about remove your system and repair the unsightly damage got me 6months which i settled for :)

Two solutions come to mind:
1) Standard mortar mix with mortar dye added to match existing brickwork ... a method I use regularly when time allows.
2) Where the penetration is for cable access, use a standard cable cover plate, more commonly seen on Tv aerial and Sky satellite dish installations, particularly useful where speed is of the essence.

I think everyone of us must have done this.
The majority of my work is still as an aerial installer so I have to drill from outside to inside (or vice versa) pretty much every day. I have learnt to always advise customers of my cable route in case they object (or intend building a conservatory etc in the future!), I also advise that when drilling into / out of the property there is likely to be an exit wound so I assume that the customer would like me to drill from the outside in as any damage will be easier for THEM to repair with just a bit of polyfiller. Occasionally I have to drill from the inside for accuracy but I always advise of the wound this might leave. Absolves me from responsibility.
As a side note I would never ever use silicone or caulk on the outside. All holes should be drilled downhill so any moisture / condensation will run down the cable to the outside. If you were to block this exit with silicone how would this moisture dissipate?

The woman is just trying to get off the bill - we were 'too expensive' as well, she has since had some other work done for two thirds the price (boss asked if it was certificated, got no reply, she admitted to paying in cash).
The outside wall is a gable end with the garden down some steps, so garden level below floor level by several feet, I had no reference points to measure up from to drill from outside in, and one point had to end up in the back of an existing socket.
Annoyed.

she sounds like a proper tightwad intending to get out of paying anyway she can i hate people like that if shes saying your too expensive then why did she ask for the work lol she sounds like an idiot tbh

I take your running a cable through it

I bet you dont have a picture by any chance or even the size of the blow so we know how big it is

Also what is the going on the other side of it? a light? or is the cable going across the wall to an outside shed?

Light - cant the light cover it?

Cable going across the wall - can you use a conduit termination end (the round ones?)

The only other way is cut it out and put a new one in - if your doing this mark 4 points (Top, bottom, left and right) so they when joined together is your hole then put your new brick in and drill from the outside on the mark - should be inline as long as your drill hole is straight
