calculating Zs with only R2 reading

is it possible to calculate zs by only using r2 + ze reading??

Widdler you rightly say you could work out the resistance of R1 if we knew the lenght.......but we dont

no it cant though, you could best guess it, but not accuratly calculate it

you are not able to calc ZS with out R1 , you cant calc R1 without the lenght , the lenght was not measure
i would like to see you accuratly measure the line condutor of the lighting circuit , wow you would;nt look daft

We've advised him as necessary. If the Line conductors exact length & CSA, along with the CPC's exact length and CSA can be verified then it can be done!!!

The value for R2 may well be influenced by parallel paths leading to an estimated circuit length far lower than in reality. This, in turn, could lead to deeming a circuit compliant with regards meeting a required disconnection time when it may not ....

you did not say if the line conductor was same lenght etc though, and i doubt it would be was all i am saying ,
