Need some advice on which way to go on a car ramp installation. Commercial Unit, Roof space and gurders about 40ft from ground, solid concrete floor throuout. No real access for cherry picker in area ramp is installed. My first consideration is that in honesty using the gurders to mount steel wired armour is not practical in this instance due to access etc. So I have 2 things in mind A) a catenary wire from one wall to the other with SWA cliped. Or B) run along outer wall then drop to floor space and use cable cover mats to reach the ramp? Problem I have is I am yet to find cable covers that will incorporate SWA? Any other ideas?

Right if I notch out floor and put 6mm singles through 25mm steel conduit. The depth of the buried cable would not be against regs because its protected by steel conduit? Could I then just cement over conduit? Really I would like to notch out just enough so that conduit is sunk around 50mm. I do not fancy going deeper than that for obvious reasons.

You may find that what you think is concrete is in fact a cement screed cover over the concrete base floor. Screed is nowhere near as hard to chop out as concrete and is normally around 4'' depth in most cases.

What you suggest is quite acceptable, whether you use singles in metal conduit or SWA in PVC duct. Chopping the floor out for your cable run, is really your only feasible option from what you have told us here in your thread...
