Is TNS permitted on caravan site? I always thought you could use as TNS as supply cable then TT each pitch, spark I’m working with says you can use TNS all way through if ZS is acceptable
Thanks

Sorry this is more of a question as im a 3rd year adult trainee.

I,m currently replacing fuseboards at a caravan park.
they are supplied by a swa 3 core using a core as an earth armour not glanded.
But some cores in a connector block with a core from the swa.

But are properly glanded.

They have installed a pod with 2 15amp commando socket outlets protected by an rcd and mcb on the pod.

Fuseboards are protected by rcbo for each pod.

I turned on pod and when i touched the screws on the pod i got a tingle, so between screws on pods and ground there is 180 volts.
Getting a tester tomorrow to start testing properly.

I think the main supply is an tnc-s system
Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Old thread, matey. I read it all and I got confused.
You shouldn’t have got a tingle of any sort.
Rcbo should trip
Changing fuseboard, test before energising.

And for my penny worth, a touring caravan and a static caravan are the same in terms of portability. Statics can be moved around a site fairly easily, although not on the public roads

Nothing trips at all.
yes there is static caravans and travelling caravans.
the tingle was like when you licked a 9v battery lol.

but the other guy who worked with me when he touched the screws he felt nothing.

The guy I worked with that day had energised the power before testing. as he is nearly time served has his fica next month.
I just let him do it and called office of what we had found, but I disconnected them from the mcb and made safe until tomorrow, when i get a tester.
