hi all,

i have an issue i replaced a light at my door today but it keeps tripping when i take the light off the trip switch stays up, the fuse that keeps tripping has lights and the spur for the alarm system on it (no idea why they wired it like that). any ideas?

My guess is an earth to N fault in the damaged light fitting. This will become a problem when other devices draw large currents.
