Clear up a bonding debate of ours.

Hi all
Wondered if you could clear up a debate we are having at work.
Gas inspection has said no bonding to the gas meter or pipe in block of flats.

One engineer says it should be run to the meter.
One says it should be installed outside within 600mm of where it enters the building on the blue arrow.
And one engineer says it should be inside 600mm from where it enters the flat.
What do you all think.

BS7671 states, where practical the connection shall be made within 600mm of the meter outlet union or at the point of entry to the building if the meter is external.
So, I would suggest your last engineer is correct.

BS7671 reg 411.3.1.2 In relation to bonding of extraneous-conductive parts starts off:

'In each consumers installation within a building....'

DNO policy document for multi way distribution systems (Ryefields) requires bond at the incomer plus a bond in each individual flat
