Evening gents
Next week got an install. A sub-pump at the bottom of an estate being fed from 200m of SWA, about 120M of this will be underground the rest cleated to a the walls and roof.
The current is 3.8 per phase on a triple pole MCB. What I would like please is confirmation on the materials needed just so I can prepare myself.

200M of SWA
External glands at both ends with banjos and fly earths.
Cable Markings for underground.
Cable markings for identification at both ends.
Cleats.
6A Triple pole MCB.
IP rated junction box to connect SWA to pump flex.
Clear sealant.

Can any of you guys think of anything else or anything Ive overlooked?

Thanks

I would speck a isolator not jb personally and don't forget your screws and plugs , stupid i know but it has been known !

From what I remember last time its a TNCS. But its a massive estate and this is coming from a distribution board. Im hoping when the other guy went to survey he took a Ze reading, doubt it but Im sure it's ok.

No, its exiting out of a roof space, along the roof, down the wall along a garden path above ground and than underground for the rest. What Im thinking though is to bury the IP box and make the connection in there with just the flex to the pump sticking up out of the ground, should I put some copex around this?

I always put a isolator by any gear with moving parts that can be moved and played with especially if you have got a 200m walk to knock the power off after your apprentice has had a go at licking the rotor :p !
But seriously i did think it was in the regs somewhere anyway ?
I can't be arsed to go find the regs but it rings a bell that because you are changing between two csa's it should be fused as well ?
I await to be corrected by whoever can be arsed to find their copy .

So are you thinking along the lines of a compression termination then?

Think your right about fusing down where CSA drops, I'll have to double check that one.
