Evening gents
Next week got an install. A sub-pump at the bottom of an estate being fed from 200m of SWA, about 120M of this will be underground the rest cleated to a the walls and roof.
The current is 3.8 per phase on a triple pole MCB. What I would like please is confirmation on the materials needed just so I can prepare myself.

200M of SWA
External glands at both ends with banjos and fly earths.
Cable Markings for underground.
Cable markings for identification at both ends.
Cleats.
6A Triple pole MCB.
IP rated junction box to connect SWA to pump flex.
Clear sealant.

Can any of you guys think of anything else or anything Ive overlooked?

Thanks

but shouldnt the fuse be between the point where the csa reduces?

I have to admit that is how i have always read it , off on a stag weekend for my other director early in the morn but if i get the chance i will get one of the boys to bring a copy of their regs and check it out ?

Hmm. Im worried that there won't be anything such as a tree or something substantial to mount it on, if there is than no problem but if not.......balls.

Again can't remember the reg but i am sure mounting on a tree is a big no no , a bit like mounting to telegraph poles own by the utility's .

We had one at the end of last year just like this for a well pump on the Rothschild's estate , we put it all in a green resin fibre box on a couple of post in the orchard .
The head gardener did not like it that much but Reg's are Reg's and they wanted the pump to much to say no !

Thanks for your input guys.

So this is what I'm going to do with regards to the end of the circuit. A fused isolator switch on a secure batten. Should be cool. Many thanks for your help, if anyone could think of anything Ive missed I would be most grateful.

A neat and convenient way to make terminations outdoors. Predominantly used in the Street Lighting sector but these could also be used in your situation if necessary. Not cheap though!

Looks like good kit but I can't help thinking it's a bit over the top for a small pump. The marshaling cabinets you linked to will cost more than the pump itself probably even before the breakers/fuses/isolators are installed.
