Replacing cracked cover on ring circuit, the mcb was turned off , circuit dead
tested with volt meter and got beep continuity on L-N L-E N-E, .
Ring working before replaced the socket front .

Im thinking because appliances with neons pugged in on the ring
and it being TNC system that this accountts for it, but wondering if this right ?
All commets welcome.

You haven't tested the circuit properly. Use the proper tester, continuity tester, insulation resistance tester, and test it as you are supposed to do for a ring. r1, rn, r2, R1+R2, then insulation resistance, the will highlight any problems that maybe present, or not as the case may be.

Cheers…………Howard

christ kid...

go away, get decent test gear to carry out the job to a satisfactory level and learn how to use it...(preferably not on other peoples property/s)...

and i`ll give you a clue: an AVI is not how we do an r1 r2 rn...is it..

go invest in a low resistance ohmmeter will you....one that can measure to 2 decimal places...
